Dr. Tonya McGill is the Executive Pastor of Antioch Christian Church. She and her husband, Senior Pastor Norris Q. McGill, established Antioch Christian Church in September of 1999.
Under their leadership, God has blessed the ministry since starting out with only family sharing in their living room. As an ordained Elder and Minister of the Gospel, she has continued to walk beside her husband throughout the growth of Antioch Christian Church. She is known for her bold and enriching impartation of God’s word. She passionately teaches and preaches the uncompromised word of God in a simple, scriptural manner that inspires and challenges the listener to do the Word of God.
Dr. McGill epitomizes a woman after God’s own heart. She faces and conquers challenges through steadfast faith in God while constantly seeking to please God. By doing so, she serves as a beacon of inspiration for married women, encouraging them to build and restore strong marital relationships. Likewise, she encourages unmarried women to be fulfilled in their unmarried state by focusing on their relationship with the Lord. She is passionately committed to training youth to be strong powerful men and women of God.
Dr. McGill has a heart not only to see the women of her church become empowered, but also to ensure that all women have the opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness God has created in them. In 2006, she founded the Phenomenal Woman Women’s Ministry, a national ministry built on biblical principles and designed to promote Godly sisterhood and fellowship. It also aims to bring women from across the world together to celebrate the unique gifts God has given them individually as we fellowship in unity as one sisterhood in Christ. Her ministry celebrates women each year by hosting the “Hats, Tea and All That Celebration” along with numerous outreach events. Dr. McGill is also the founder of Daughters of Faith Women’s Ministry.
Her advancements in education include an advanced degree in Computer Information Systems from Grambling State University, a Master’s degree in Theological Studies and a Doctorate of Ministry from Vision International University.
Dr. McGill and her husband, Norris, are the proud parents of three beautiful children: Aierelle, Quintin “Jarel” and Jonathan.
