LIVING THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
How Do I Grow In My Walk?
I Must Talk to the Father
Prayer is your communication method with the Lord. In order to talk with the Lord, you must spend time in prayer. Start each day by thanking and praising God for all that He has done. God will speak to you in a manner you can understand, begin to talk and then force yourself to listen.
I Must Control My Flesh
When we become born again, our Spirits are renewed, changed. Our flesh is not. In order for us to walk successfully as Christians, we must learn to control our natural bodies and force our bodies to obey what the Word of God says. This does not come naturally. Yet, it can be done through discipline.
Take Time Each Day to Read the Word of God
As a Believer, we receive instruction and revelation for living our lives through the Holy Bible, which we understand to be the Word of God. Get into the Word of God daily, and begin to study His word while applying its principles and teachings to your life. Over time, you will begin to live a lifestyle to is in alignment with God's Word and one that is pleasing to Him.
Now that you are saved, it is important for you to grow and develop as a Christian. Part of the growth and development is to be perfected. In order to be perfected or matured, you must find yourself a bible-believing, bible-teaching church. It is important for you to hear the Word each week and get involved in serving the Lord. You must also begin to develop a personal relationship with the Lord.
